The GPS receiver is very, very accurate, thanks to parallel multi-channel design. Garmin's 12 channel parallel receiver to quickly lock to the satellites when first turned on and they maintain a strong lock, even in dense foliage or urban environments with tall houses. Several factors and air sources of error can affect the accuracy of the GPS receiver. Garmin ® GPS receivers are accurate about 10-15 meters.
Garmin GPS receiver newer and AAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) capacity we can improve the accuracy of three meters below the average. There is no additional equipment or fees are required to take advantage of the AAS. Users also get better accuracy with Differential GPS (DGPS), which corrects GPS signals to within an average of three to five meters. The U. S. Coast Guard DGPS correction service usually works. This system has a network of towers that receive GPS signals and Beacon announced the corrected signal to the transmitter. To get a signal improved, users must Beacon Beacon and add differential GPS receiver antenna for them.

18-24 satellites that make the GPS space segment to the orbiting of the earth is about 12.000 miles on us. They are constantly moving, making two complete orbits under 24 hours. This satellite broadband running at a speed between the 7.500-mile.

GPS satellites are powered by solar energy alone. They have an onboard battery backup to keep them running at the time of a solar eclipse, when there is no solar energy. Small rockets each satellite keep them flying in the right way.
